Tama-ryoku-cha means “coiled-green-tea” as it is named after the particular shape of the leaves by using pan-frying methods during the drying process. Tamaryoku is sen-cha which has a unique and flavorful aroma with a grassy tone. Since Tamaryoku-cha is less astringent, it pairs well with all types of cuisine. 

 

HOW TO PREPARE:

Use 1 tsp of leaf for every 8-12 oz of water, and steep in 165-190°F hot water for 1-2 minutes.

Makes 15 - 20 cups, and re-steep!
